Diamond Jewelry

Thursday, May 28th, 2009

Typically, most of the diamonds that are being sold in the market are white colored or clear. But today, there is another choice aside from the traditional clear ones. The newest addition to the diamond stones is called the blue diamond. So, if you really want a diamond that will stand out from among its kind, you might want to get this jewelry.

A reason for this is most likely to be that there are far more wealthy people in the world, in particularly in the UK and other westernised countries such as the USA, Germany, France, Italy and Greece. These people either have excellent jobs in the countries they live in or have inherited lots of money from their ancestors. But it’s not only the wealthy that can afford diamond jewelery. Middle class and even lower class to an extent can also afford the beautiful and attractive diamond jewelery. This is because they too have decent jobs that pay well and have lots of disposable income as a result. And rather than spending the money on property for long-term gain, they prefer to spend money on fashionable and trendy items, or items that will improve their status in society.

This desire is not just true for diamond jewelery however as more and more people nowadays are spending either disposable income or amassing debt on various credit cards to pay for things they want over things they need. Fast cars such as Porsches and Audis, are moving quickly out of the car showrooms and sometimes even attract more people than manufacturers can produce cars for, for example the exquisite Audi R8.

Diamond jewelery nowadays can be found in nearly every jewelery shop found on the high-street and in various other places too, including the fast-moving world of e-commerce or the internet as it is otherwise known. It consists of various different items including; bracelets, earrings, necklaces, rings, jewelery sets, anklets, brooches, cufflinks and body jewelery. All these categories have their own different diamond styles and products within them to give consumers as much choice as possible.

Due to the rise in demand from consumers, diamond jewelery has become even more popular in recent years and the choice on offer has become wider than ever before. But the great choice in diamond jewelery has not always been present. Diamonds are thought to be first recognised over 3000 years ago in India but records are not up quite up to scratch to detail any real activity. Slightly more recently, back in the 15th Century, Archduke Maximillian presented his fiancée Mary of Burgundy with a diamond ring. And even more recent than that, the crown jewels have been a hot topic of conversation and are now stored away in the highly secured Tower of London in the centre of London town.
